Robin Young's keen eye guide her viewers into her own semi-readymade world. Creating micro card size art to large life-sized pieces, 3D sculptures, outdoor murals and art installations. Her interests are in the weird, macabre, different, unusual, strange, bizarre, out of this world kind of stuff from the television shows she grew up on, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Night Gallery , etc. Her collage pieces here are small and made from recycled vintage magazine clippings assembled on card stock.
Based in Borrego Springs, Robin Young works in mixed media focusing mostly on collage and contemporary art making. Repurposing a variety of materials into lighthearted and sometimes disquieting messages, Robin's artistic universe is strange, funky, sometimes perverse and always alluring. She has been published in The Hole in the Head Review, Montana Mouthful, Ilanot Review and The Phoebe Journal. She is also a performer and lives in the California desert with her creative husband John and lazy dog, Comet.
